@natmv_ I lived in Sacramento for like seven years and people would commute to SF from there and that's about an hour and a half away minimum with all the traffic on the 80.

I live in California and I wish there was a mass exodus so the traffic and congestion everywhere wasn’t nearly as bad as it currently is. Just seems to be getting worse every year. Maybe people are leaving from the rural counties but they aren’t from the populated ones.

@AthleticsRants Its a great move when considering the goal was to get ready for Vegas, not Sac. The returns for our past stars were terrible, and this is one of the few times I think the A's won the trade. Its just hard to shake the feeling that we'll be having these convos again eventually

I see a lot of people on here saying the “same old A’s” and “nothing different than in Oakland”. If they were already a playoff team and traded away guys because they didn’t want to pay them like in 2015 and 2022, then sure, but this trade isn’t that at all. I get these guys are prospects and not guaranteed to work. I also understand the caliber of a player that Mason Miller is. If everything goes well as far as development and these guys live up to the hype, then the A’s could be a better team come 2028 in Las Vegas than they would be with Mason Miller on the team. I would feel much better about the A’s as a championship contender in a couple years with a more solidified starting rotation and then trade for a good closer similar to what the Phillies did this year. Like I said earlier today, the only way I would understand a Mason Miller trade at this point in time is if they got multiple quality starting pitching prospects to develop and that’s exactly what they did.

And if the A's end up getting a good prospect from this trade, we will be having these same conversations about that new prospect in a couple years

@natmv_ They are the same people who pathologize every form of bad behavior. Everything has to be taken to the extreme to maximize victimhood. It's very bizarre and very unhelpful.
