I checked if babies who were born via C-section had higher IQs in the big dataset from 1959-74 that I just digitized (the NCPP). It turns out, they did not. In fact, cross-sectionally, they had somewhat lower IQs, and within families, the direction reversed, but it was null:

We just passed a bill to stamp out California's massive community college fraud. Over a third of applications in our state, 1.2 million in all, were fakes used for financial aid fraud. The No Aid for Ghost Students Act passed today in an overwhelming bipartisan committee vote.

It’s not just improvement off of a really awful cycle for Sears. Trump won this district by 15 points in what was a great cycle for Republicans, and this guy is winning by ~30 points. Virginians this year are crawling across broken glass to vote against Democrats.

when I was a ftm still figuring out how babies worked, I think one of the best pieces of advice was to not think about sleep training in any capacity until 6 months of age. it helped a lot to just accept "sleep is going to be all over the place for a while" rather than giving myself crazy expectations and then being disappointed when my newborn sleeps like a newborn. still sucked tho.
