@MarioNawfal China gets 40 percent of its FOREIGN oil from the Strait, half of that coming from Iran. China produces about 30% of its own oil. So China will just get what little oil it was getting from Iran somewhere else rather than risk a confrontation.

The USS Abraham Lincoln carrier is operating in the Arabian Sea as a base for aerial boardings. The USS Tripoli has Marines trained specifically for ship interceptions. Guided missile destroyers can launch helicopters, deploy boats, or just sail up alongside commercial vessels and force them to turn around. If a ship resists? Navy SEALs or special operations forces conduct hostile boardings. The U.S. doesn't even need to operate near Iran. They can intercept ships in the Indian Ocean or even the Pacific.
