@NABO_Official @CanalRiverTrust @CRTBoating Being pragmatic I think it is a good idea in this case. With 2 boats on the services, which is a curved bank so one end of the boat sticks out, and boats moored on the towpath, there is little room to get through.

@CruisingTheCut @emmacruises @CruiseNorwegian They have desalination plant on the ship. Fresh water made daily. They probably have separate tanks for grey water; one that stores human waste and one that dumps cleaner waste.

ad • This morning I took a faaaantastic behind the scenes tour onboard the Norwegian Spirit. It was so so interesting. Check out the photos behind me, this is the preparation guide for every single dish they make onboard. 🤯🌭 Do you like my giant whisk?! 🤣👩‍🍳 We visited 6 areas and had a person in each explain the area to us. The laundry was probably the one which blew my mind the most. Can you imagine how many towels and sheets a cruise ship has to wash?! It’s so impressive. 😅👗 We visited: - Behind the scenes at the theatre 🎭 - The galley 🥘 - Provisions warehouse/MASSIVE FREEZERS 🤣 - The laundry 👚 - Control room for the engines 🛳️ - The bridge ⚓️ This ship has over 1000 crew and they all work so so hard. It really is so impressive how they keep a ship like this running so smoothly. It wouldn’t be possible without the amazing crew which is why I get so annoyed when people are rude to them! Good manners cost nothing as my mum says! 💪🏼🌊 The tour cost $99 per person and was about two hours long, we had a complimentary photo taken (hope you like mine) and I think it was well worth it. Would you do something like this? 😎🚢 #CruiseNorwegian

Nice place to visit. The workshops are one of the couple of places in the country that makes new lock doors and tucked away on a wall next to the canal normally locked away from the public is a plaque marking deaths due to a bombing raid on the site.

Damp in Birmingham - a few of the #BCNMarathonChallenge boats tied-up on the Main Line, including winner ⁦@NBtattylucy ⁦⁦@nbfirefly⁩ and Grand Union motor Corolla.

So that is day one of the #BCNChallenge done for us. Most of it spent on the northern reaches, and in the main all very good, apart from Walsall locks of course, they are never good.
