Ah, the doomer Reds fans got ahold of this one. I remember the Reds starting 2-6 with 4 shutout losses a year ago. This sure as hell beats that, in my humble opinion.

I’ll never understand why there are people who think pitches this close shouldn’t be overturned by ABS The ball is touching the zone. It’s a strike. The player should be rewarded for challenging a pitch that close and being correct.

@bryce_spalding I just wish he would shorten up when things aren’t going well. The importance of just getting the ball and play is Paramount.

I think maybe people forgot the type of player Geno is. He’s going to have a LOT of ugly at bats and games this year. He’s going to strikeout. It’s going to happen. But he’s also going to have games and stretches he carries this offense, and looks like the best hitter on the planet. He’s got 79 HR & 219 runs driven in the last 2 seasons, not by accident. I think it’s more than ok taking the good with the bad.

@EagleBud76 Last month he was an all league type guy. I think people are upset with how poor he played 3/4th of the year. And there is some fair criticism there minus his injury time.

@OSUHoopsInsider @MDSmalls23 I get your frustration about lack of attention compared to the football team, but you have to earn your attention. You tend to get more if you go into a season with high expectations. This has not been the case here for sometime. Hard to not be apathetic with recent results.

Mea culpa: I'd like to apologize to Reds fans for calling their pitching staff "nearly bottom 5." I think I misread the data somehow. I still do not believe in Abbott, and I have their bullpen projected below-average, but my new stuff-based projections actually love Greene and Burns and have their rotation top 5.
