Elixir and Machine Learning in 2024 so far: MLIR, rich Arrow types, structured LLM, and more! dashbit.co/blog/elixir-ml…
This paves the way for quantization, Apple Metal, cross-compilation and other goodies down the road!
🛠️Req is great, but the world speaks curl.
Next time you're debugging a 3rd party API and need to ask for support, you can just toss in this line:
|> CurlReq.inspect()
And you'll have the full curl command.

Req v0.5 is out with testing enhancements, standardized errors, response streaming additions and other improvements. #MyElixirStatusdashbit.co/blog/req-v0.5
@mert Since photon doesn't show the full addresses on the points leaderboard I wrote a dune query which finds transactions for folks on the photon leaderboard at dune.com/queries/359555…. You can probably use this to find some alpha.
want to get started on Solana and make a name for yourself?
Do this:
- learn sql (pretty easy with chatgpt)
- go to dune and flipside; query the chain, make some dashboards
- get good at writing
- tell stories with data
- iterate based on feedback
- you now have a network
good lord, cursor with gpt-4o is getting really good w/ Elixir
Outputs an entire step-by-step guide of what to do, I just click "apply" to each file edit and boom! feature is done.

If you have contributed to the Solana ecosystem, there’s never been a better time to start a validator than now.
Not only has the entire delegation program been revamped, (solana.org/delegation-pro…) we’ve also added a new fast track for ecosystem contributors to join the SFDP. (#what_is_ecpq" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">solana.org/faq#what_is_ec…)
The best place to read about the new changes and the philosophy around support is in on the blog post: solana.com/news/solana-fo…
@zweidrei_23@mert This is an interesting experiment. Stand up a full validator once you have buy in from enough folks. Like a kickstarter for validators.
gonna lose a bunch of future revenue for this, but:
solana teams, please stop asking RPCs teams to run new validator nodes for you for swqos
we've been asked by a ton of teams for this, it's a really bad precedent
i) it's falsely inflating the security and decentralization of the network
i.e., if there are 10 validators, but 1 RPC company runs them all — there is really just 1 validator
I'm super concerned about the real numbers in production even today
ii) swqos is not what you think it is
there's nothing that makes a validator actually respect the stake you have, it's just a default setting that will 100% get overwritten
you'd have to do a partnership or something directly with the validator anyway (which doesn't require you to set up a new node); you can do this via your existing RPC provider
that being said, if you want to run your own validator for security, decentralization, or even culture reasons — by all means please do it!!! we need that
just make sure to run it yourself, otherwise it just makes no sense
