I hope you will grieve the betrayal of a child or children who have labeled, devalued and rejected your very person, much less your role in their lives- Barring abuse, neglect and abandonment of them as children, you do not owe perpetual apologies or submission to the therapy police who have single handedly made you the villain in your kids’ life. Mother’s Day can be very painful for many for a myriad of reasons. Know this- grief is healthy. You can pour into others who need your maternal heart. There’s a world of hurting people who need the healing touch and words of a woman designed for comfort and care. Happy Mother’s Day early. Clarity is freedom.
