This is something we don’t like saying out loud: Not everyone flexing online is making clean money. For those who may not know: Under Kenya’s Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (Control) Act, possession of hard drugs can mean decades in prison or fines running into tens of millions. The law doesn’t care how good your life looks online. When the image collapses, it’s not social media that pays the price. Two things I avoid completely: drugs and guns. If someone close to you is involved in either, leave early.

Do you remember this young girl I met stranded on the streets of Nairobi with her mother? They had been living on the streets with no stable support and very little hope. I am happy to share some good news today. The girl had received an admission letter to Loresho Secondary School, but her mother had no funds to facilitate her admission. Through my online platforms, we reached out for support, and together we managed to fundraise for her school requirements. Today, I personally took her to school, and I’m glad to report that she has been successfully admitted. This is a powerful reminder that when we come together, we can change lives.
