If you've never been through a crypto/NFT bull market, here's something I wish I had known the last time and you should know now: No matter how stupidly crazy you think it is, it can get stupidly crazier. A corollary to this is that the only way to make 100x or 1000x is to forget reason and embrace your degen side. But, in order to be intelligently stupid, you need to keep in mind the following: Always keep a core position in top-tier assets: BTC/ETH, top alts, premium NFTs/Gen Art. These will not yield you a 100x but they will naturally appreciate in value as the bull progresses. Use these to store liquidity and, more importantly, realise liquidity. The core position will fund your degen plays. About degen plays: you need to be a complete moron about them. Forget reason or common sense. You have a core allocation to be reasonable. Don't be sensible with the crazy plays. NFTs trade on momentum. In the bull, it was not uncommon to mint something for $40 and have it be worth $10,000 the next day. I minted 12 Not Okay Bears for free on Monday and sold them all for 2.8e the next day. I scaled my sales. I shouldn't have, I knew it was a degen play. Had I gone in stupidly, I would have sold the 12 for 10e. I have countless other examples of this. So what's the learning here: 🧠 Be reasonable with your core assets, be selective and build sizeable allocations that you will manage responsibly. 🐸 Be an absolute dumbass about your degen play and go all-in.
