The Modernization of Election Data Systems (MEDS) Commission met last week to review public comments on election modernization and discuss the next steps in updating North Carolina’s aging voting system. Commission members and the public—both in person and via livestream—also heard presentations from State Auditor Dave Boliek, State Board of Elections Executive Director Sam Hayes, and ReFrame Solutions. The meeting marked yet another important step toward a more modern, secure, and efficient election data system for North Carolina.
