@soundcube It depends. Some SNRI's can be helpful, and Wellbutrin is sometimes used to treat ADHD as well. These can be really hit-or-miss for ADHD though - the efficacy rate is much lower than stimulants like methylphenidate or amphetamine salts.

People will attack his age or blame his cognitive decline on age. It might be, it might not be - plenty of people are older than him and have better cognitive abilities. It could just as easily be COVID or something else. It's a concern because he's president.

I think there are multiple things going on. One is the "stutter", which exists but is not an issue. The other is Biden's increasing confusion and general lack of awareness of what's going on around him. It's definitely a concerning pattern.

What’s going on now with @joebiden isn’t a “stutter” he clearly has a stutter, as you can see in this video, but he didn’t used to be completely confused when he spoke, as you can also see in this video. He is now diminished, forgetful and confused in public. And it’s sad.

I've not read the whole report, it's here if you're interested: media.defense.gov/2024/Jan/09/20… The problem is, most people won't read the report. They'll read the headlines and it'll make it even harder to get controlled medications that people need.

If these are necessary that's fine, but my impression from the DOD report was that there was significant abuse of many of these meds. And shit like this further vilifies people who actually need these meds and can't get them because doctors won't prescribe them.

Puberty is traumatic enough as is. Being forced to endure the "wrong" puberty and have permanent, irreversible changes enforced on you is so much worse. Being forced to wait puts lives at risk.

Puberty blockers have few long-term side effects. Yes, hormones have lasting effects but so do lots of other things. Why shouldn't a 16 year old be able to make their own choices?

I get that people are upset that anti-trans activists want to go after adults now. If you give a little, they'll keep demanding more and more. Trans children deserve affirming healthcare too. It shouldn't be children vs. adults - we should support all trans people.

@awesomebrandi Online Autistic communities bully too much sometimes. I find they're often not open to different or opposing views and punish mistakes too strongly and harshly. The focus should be on improving individual and collective lives, not bullying people or forcing sameness of opinion.

If I had to declare a political stance for myself I'd probably be somewhere in the left. But so-called "leftists" are often ableist, sometimes transphobic, and occasionally straight up racist. It's probably individual vs ideologies but it makes it hard to align with leftists.

I'm supposed to talk to Pips school about putting her on a Section 504 plan to support her. I'm really anxious - so far they've been supportive but I'm afraid if we push too much it may come back to hurt her.

I have less rights and freedoms now than I had 4 years ago. My family is actively at risk in our home state. Biden has done little to address the real threats to us. He hasn't proposed a single plan or policy that would support us. Trump is no better. Why would I vote for either?
