@billsusername12 @elonmusk You can always tell when someone has no intellect when they resort to ad hominem attacks. And you can always tell when a hit dog hollers that you’ve made a good argument. And you know a coward when they shout childish insults then block you.

@billsusername12 @elonmusk I agree the GPS could use some work but you can’t say it is nearly unusable in one sentence and say in the next you are amazed and more than satisfied. Unusable? FSD is amazing and occasionally routes funny. Not unusable.

And if we were not trying to eliminate Iran's ability to nuke us, you would still have crappy streets in the Bronx. You know why? Because it's the NYC DOT who is responsible for maintaining this streets. And you are in NY where the liberals in charge choose to take your tax dollars and spend them housing illegal aliens in the finest hotels instead of spending it on infrastructure. This has NOTHING to do with national defense

American cities are literally crumbling while we are spending billions every day fighting a war in Iran. When will we end the madness and put America first?

As ICE Agents were busy arresting an illegal alien, an 80-year-old liberal tried to impede and obstructed them. The result was him getting sent to the floor by an ICE agent. What do you think, was this justified? x.com/ViralVideos/st…

Not sure what the problem is. For the speed you are driving, this is a normal distance that humans will follow the truck. It didn't run the light. It didn’t put you in danger. It stopped quickly but many times in my life, I’ve had to stop quicker than I wanted for many reasons. It’s not FSD’s job to always make you feel 100% comfortable and in real world driving, it's impossible to avoid hard braking occasionally. It's job is to keep you safe and it did that as good or better than most humans would have done in that situation.

FSD scared the crap out of me and my wife. We were headed out of town and my wife was taking zoom calls in the backseat and I was relaxing letting FSD do all of the work. We were following behind a cement truck and as we went through the intersection, the cement truck ran the light at the last minute, as soon as FSD was able to see the light it turned red and FSD slammed on the brakes. My wife’s laptop went sliding across the car, but we got stopped, and then FSD backed us up behind the line.

@CaptMarkKelly Chicago averages 9-11 Americans murdered per week. Those are also sons, daughters and parents. But you and democrats don’t seem to care too much about that. You just see this as something you can maybe attack Trump with. Btw, he has laid out goals if you would pay attention.

We've lost 13 Americans in less than two weeks of this war. These are sons, daughters, and parents. The American people deserve to know why our country rushed into another war without a strategy or a goal.

The whole bad weather argument for Lidar is crazy to me. What do humans do when they're is dense fog or heavy rain? We pull over. My Tesla drives perfectly fine in the rain. Never had an issue. But if the rain gets so bad or the fog so dense that I can't see, I don't want any car driving me at highway speed. You're telling me that if you were in a waymo in fog so dense that you could not see the car in front of you that you would be comfortable doing 75 mph, just because it has Lidar? I don't think so. All Tesla needs to do is be able to identify that it can't see well and pull over like a human does

Tesla’s decision to focus on pure vision will go down as the most important strategic decision in their history, and it’s crazy that so few people have grasped that yet. Just go take a ride in both. The Tesla is smooth and human like. Once you’ve experienced it, you’ll start to notice how slow and jerky the Waymo is. The reason the Tesla drives better is because of the massive dataset enabled by computer vision sensors in every car. To the extent LIDAR is useful, you can always layer that on top of the pure vision system that is already safe enough to drive the car on its own. You’ll mop the floor with anyone who requires multiple sensor modalities and can’t drive if any of them go down. Waymo is giving millions of rides, but they’ve driven about 200 million miles. Tesla Self-Driving has been used for 8.5 billion miles, making it by far the most used self-driving software in the world. They’re also now operating without a driver in Austin. The goal isn’t millions, it’s trillions of miles traveled a year. Good luck getting there with a car that is 3x more expensive and has yet to turn a profit. Good luck scaling to South America, Asia, and Africa with a car that costs $75,000 and requires you to shoot out laser beams constantly. Less is more. Layer on whatever additional sensor modalities you want to the extent it improves anything, but people don’t realize how powerful it is to have a single end to end model that can drive more safely than a human even if all the sensors go out except the cameras. If the cameras go out you can’t drive the car anyway, even with LIDAR, because you need to be able to see traffic lights, signs, etc. Computer vision is both necessary and sufficient for fully autonomous driving. Adding anything extra as a requirement just holds back the technology from scaling and stopping many preventable deaths and injuries.
Tenobrus@tenobrus

tesla's decision to point blank refuse to touch lidar has proven to be one of the most insane self owns of any technology company ever. they easily have the research talent, and waymo has proved they could be doing millions of fully autonomous rides. at this point it's a choice

Scottie, that the biggest self own I've seen in a while. He basically said most of those accidents are slow enough that humans don't file police reports, therefore you can't say in good faith that Tesla's have 3 times more accidents than humans. Then you posted the facts showing that most of those accidents were slow enough that it wouldn't have had a police report, many even when the car was stopped, meaning something hit it. Youre easily brainwashed and aren't thin nking critically or for yourself.

@adamscochran @wholemars And the last sentence says it all. You don’t know shit about how good this car self drives or not, you just hate Musk and want him to fail, most certainly because of Doge. Anything you say has to be viewed with the bias it comes from.

@wholemars Call me when it’s got actual lidar and can pass real safety standards and then I’ll give it a go. I don’t car what a car does in the best conditions. I care what it does in the worst. Oh, and that the company isn’t being run by a total asshat!

No. 40% my as$. Americans think they are worth way more than they actually are. When I was a teenager, the average or expected tip was 10%. Now it's 25 and it's not like the service has gotten any better, if anything, it's gotten worse. I tried to tip in Japan and almost got my hand slapped. They don't want your 'charity'. They look at it like you think they are begging if you try to tip them. I came back to the States and everyone has their hand out, from the baggage guy to the cab driver to the subway employee who just hands you a sandwich. I tip and tip well, but the expecting attitude I see more and more from young people in this country who have done little to deserve anything is frustrating.

They sure as hell punished Georgia 2 years ago for losing the SEC Championship. And to refresh your memory, Georgia was 29 and 0 coming into that game over the past 2 years. They hadn’t lost a game in 2 years! Then they lost to Alabama 27-24 on a 4th and 34 touchdown. They were back to back Natty champs. Close loss in an extra game that nobody else had to play and they took them out of the playoffs. When did they change their minds on the importance of championship games?

@Hoosier15194 @RGIII They sure AF bumped Georgia 2 years ago. They were undefeated for 2 YEARS and lost 24-27 to Bama in the SEC Championship game and we're knocked out of the play offs.

@RGIII You can't bump them after a loss in a conference championship game. They handed a bad team a playoff spots by moving them up in the rankings in the last poll. They barely beat Auburn and moved up.

There is no way the CFP committee can justify putting Alabama in the Playoff with 3 loses and 1 coming against a 5-7 Florida State team.

Yes semantics. You’re talking about how ‘trilat’ isn’t a word when we all knew what he meant. That’s called playing semantics. And as usual for your kind, you offer zero solutions, just one complaint after another. I guess you love the death and destruction. At least Trump is trying. What are you doing, other than complaining?

@Timcast Hate to tell you, but the moment Russia invaded Ukraine, they were going to win. They have 5 times more men and a psychopathic leader willing to grind out the victory. It’s just a matter of will they take all of Ukraine once Ukraine runs out of men or will they take only a part.
