On my last night in Kolkata this round old friends took me out for dinner at one of the city’s iconic clubs. It was a warm loving evening and one of them said no matter what happens remember that we all live together and this is Kolkata. Today as I wake up in Delhi see distressing visuals of vandalism, bulldozing and physical assaults while central forces look on in the city and the countryside.
