In 2023, I left Mixpanel to cofound a company with a simple question in mind: why does operating a business have to be so hard?
Why can't I say "pay Sam $100k/year" and it just happens? Why do I need multiple pieces of software and countless hours spent registering for things to do this?
What is this scary piece of mail I just got? Do I need to do something about it?
How am I supposed to know which government filings I need to make and when? Can't this just be on auto-pilot?
As a former founder, I wanted to focus on building my product, not worry about compliance or back-office operations.
Today, I'm excited to announce @CentralHQX - the easiest way to run a company. Central's mission is to liberate founders to create value. We want to free you from the shackles of compliance and ops work!
Today, when you sign up with Central:
- you can hire and pay employees in all 50 states plus contractors anywhere in the world compliantly -- without making a single government filing. I call it "declarative payroll": you specify your desired end state and Central handles the implementation details.
- you can provide heath and life insurance plus 401k to your employees
- Central will monitor incoming government mail, filter out junk, automatically take any necessary actions we can on your behalf, and tell you if you need to do something. No more missing those SUI tax rate changes!
Finally, you can talk to Central Bot directly in Slack and get things done 24/7. Think of Central Bot as your first HR/Finance/Ops hire. You can hire, pay, search company and employee info, send and receive documents, ask questions, and much more just by typing.
I believe Central is already the best payroll product in the world for busy founders, but we are *not* just a payroll company. We are a "business bullsh*t" company. If it gets in the way of founders creating value, Central will handle it so you can get back to building.
Reply to this message and Central will do your required FinCEN BOI filing for free!

Job description pages make me sad.
We made a lil' @figmadesign file showing what it's like to be a designer at @mixpanel, how we work, who makes up our team, and what the interview process is like. 🥳
Check it out and come be our friend. (Apply)

A week into launching these notebooks I've learned:
1️⃣ I missed photography.
2️⃣ I like drawing fun weird shapes and pizza with eyeballs.
3️⃣ I am very insecure about marketing my own stuff. 🍕👀
Need a notebook to store your insecurities? Same. weirdlooks.com

@JuanFco_Romero @mixpanel Not at the moment, but it's something we're hoping to do soon. There are some open-source projects though that have some documentation:

Hey @scoopsofjam! I would love to join the Jam.dev beta community. I’m ID #2098 on the waitlist. Can I get an invite?

@nikstep @mixpanel 2/2 We were wrong, though, cause when you hit that edge case, it's clearly a terrible experience, so it's worth calling out at the top level to prevent it. As of an hour or so ago, that info is on the main pricing page. Please DM me if you'd like. Happy to try to set things right
English

.@mixpanel Your pricing is a scam, Your MTU based pricing is not calculated based on users (MTUs), but events, WTF? Now we have spent time on implementing your software and it's WAY more expensive then informed.
English

@nikstep @mixpanel 1/2 Hey @nikstep. I'm VP Product @mixpanel. It's not our intent to trick people (promise), but your experience would feel that way to me too. Apologies. Less than 0.1% of customers average more than 1000 events per user, so we figured it was an edge case that belonged in the docs
