City in imperious form, Arsenal look bit flat. City will be all over us at the start and push hard tomorrow. Players with spine and backbone needed to stand up and not wilt under the City pressure. Counting on Rice, Gyokeres, Martinelli and possibly Gabriel tomorrow. #MCIARS

@RohanJivanAFC In a game Arsenal will probably cede majority of possession to City, how do you guys actually want Havertz and Trossard to start? If Arteta fields a front 3 including Trossard and Havertz, City will spank us proper like 4-0 or something like that. Gyokeres must start tomorrow.

Assuming Timber is out: Raya, White, Saliba, Gabriel, Calafiori, Zubimendi, Rice, Eze, Martinelli, Havertz, Trossard What I would do. Just annoying that Trossard is so out of form. Needs must though.

Tottenham Hotspur have collected just 5 points from their last 42 available, that’s 9 losses and 5 draws in their last 14 PL games. My goodness, I didn’t realise it was that bad 😂😂. Hope this form continues and they find themselves in the Championship next season. #TOTBHA

@PaulEnimola2 @EBL2017 Ask Arteta and his rigid approach. We camped in our own half for most of the game and no single chance was created for Gyokeres. Haaland was as ineffective in that game too but do you think Pep will use it to bench him and start Marmoush? Gyokeres must start tomorrow.

Havertz must start against City. He is a reliable aerial outlet who can also play removed from City’s centre backs. This gives Arsenal necessary solutions in the build-up AND in open play. Better in the air than Khusanov/Guehi. Plus, neither CB likes to jump. Tactical cog 🧠

@TheArsenalMind Viktor Gyokeres and it’s not even close. How anyone who’s watched Kai Havertz for 3 straight seasons can prefer him over Gyokeres in a game of this magnitude is baffling. In trying to make big calls, I just hope Mikel doesn’t get swayed by the Kai propaganda doing the rounds.

Arteta must not Trossard, City will probably dominate possession and pure pace is needed. Whatever XI he chooses, Mikel Arteta has to deliver tomorrow by getting the boys in the right frame of mind and, crucially, being proactive by getting his in game tactical management right.

This would be my XI against the massive Man City test tomorrow. Raya Timber-Saliba-Gabriel-Hincapie Odegaard-Zubimendi-Rice Martinelli-Gyokeres-Eze. If Odegaard ain’t fit to start, Eze as the 10, Madueke and Martinelli on the wings.

@ArsenalN10 We definitely can, but it will take a big improvement on our recent showings. Even with the injuries, the squad has enough quality to win any game. The bigger issue is mental and the pressure seems to be affecting us. That’s where top managers step up, and Mikel needs to deliver.

@charles_watts Someone had to say it, the triple subs felt rushed and panicky. Eze for Havertz was the only sub needed at that stage. Arteta needs to trust his squad more, freshen things up and use the likes of Norgaard. Zubimendi is clearly struggling and shouldn’t have started at all.

Impossible not to be hugely worried after that. Arsenal looking mentally and physically shot. The hope was the late winner in Portugal would give the squad the boost it needed to go again, but no sign of that today. Bournemouth sharper, fresher and fitter. Arsenal running on fumes and look so panicky and devoid of ideas. Big issues in midfield. Zubimendi looks done and with no Odegaard today Bournemouth did what City did in the final and Arsenal had little answer. The triple change didn’t help. That felt panicky from Arteta so early in the second half with the game still level. Calafiori, Timber, Saka and Odegaard can’t come back soon enough, but will they be in any sort of shape to help when there isn’t really time to play themselves into form/fitness? It’s worrying.

@UtdKlay Hope the team and Arteta take the King’s message and BELIEVE. Today was a huge chance to go 12 clear, pile massive pressure on City, break them mentally ahead of their game vs Chelsea. It’s not over yet but the boys and Arteta need to step up and LOCK IN and deliver the PL title.

🚨Thierry Henry BLASTS Arsenal losing at home to Bournemouth: 🗣️ Henry: “Honestly, this is where you see if a team truly has the mentality of champions and right now, Arsenal don’t. To lose focus at this stage of the season, at home, against Bournemouth, knowing full well Manchester City still have two games in hand… that’s not just disappointing, it’s embarrassing. This is unbelievable.” “You cannot talk about winning the league and then deliver a performance like that when it matters most. This is the moment where you have to be ruthless, disciplined, obsessed — and I didn’t see that.” “I am beginning to really fear if these guys actually have what it takes to get over the line and win this league. Because let me tell you right now, champions do not do this." #ARSBOU

@pelzfargo @okkHyfa Zubimendi was at fault for both goals today and ultimately cost us the match. His careless pass led to their opener, and he then failed to track Scott’s run who breezed past him to score the second. He’s been a major disappointment this year and let down Rice and the entire team.

@BodegaaCat @animashaunhabe5 Zubimendi been dreadful since December, making needless errors in almost every match. He’s the sole reason we’ve struggled in games vs the big 6 clubs this season. The PL intensity seems too much for him to handle. Say what you want, but he’s clearly a downgrade on Thomas Partey.

@ArsenalN7 Same here. But we really need to improve on many things and crucially our whole offensive setup which has been poor all season. Shocked by how the fan base are picking out Gyokeres.

@elspanishgooner Completely disagree. Gyokeres is one of the most clinical strikers, but he’s been starved of service due to Mikel Arteta’s rigid and cautious system. Even Haaland would struggle in this setup. The lack of attacking fluidity is hurting the team, and it lies squarely on Arteta.

@TheArsenalMind Yes, it’s a damaging defeat, but we still have a lead and shouldn’t lose belief. Serious improvement is needed moving forward. And if Man City manage to do 8/8, then they’ll deserve the title, and it would be hard to argue against us being labeled the biggest bottlers ever.

@nonewthing Shut the fuck up you moron. What did Havertz done for this club? And you always hype him up. Only Rice, Gabriel and Raya have outperformed Gyokeres this season and you here with your usual nonsense against him. Grow up man.

Any game in which we start Gyokeres is a game we are planning to lose. For about 10 games now, you can't remember one moment of quality from him. It is hard to win anything when your striker is just standing there.

@Arsenal A dreadful performance that deserved absolutely nothing. Lack of attacking quality has been evident all season, with set pieces peppering over the cracks, and that ultimately falls on Mikel Arteta. He has to deliver the Premier League title; otherwise, he should be dismissed.

Andrea Berta should take full control in the summer and offload several big name players. Kai Havertz, Gabriel Jesus, Ben White, Trossard and Gabriel Martinelli should all be sold during the summer window.
