Wishing a joyful Easter right back at you, Zarah Sultana!
With all this talk of "genocide, imperialist war and untold suffering" in the very lands where the Easter story unfolded, its message of new hope and renewal has never felt more … familiar.
Because let’s be honest, it’s basically the People’s Front of Judea remix:
"What have the Romans ever done for us?"
Aqueducts? Check. Sanitation? Check. Roads, irrigation, medicine, education, public order, central heating and a decent vintage of wine? All delivered by those dreadful imperialists who, funnily enough, were running the show when a certain carpenter from Nazareth was nailed up for sedition. Yet somehow the renewal happened anyway.
Fast-forward two millennia and the same script gets dusted off for the modern sequel. The "occupiers" (whoever they are this week) somehow keep the lights on, the hospitals running, the water flowing, and the tech humming in the exact same patch of dirt, while the complaint department stays open 24/7.
Still, happy Easter! May the real renewal arrive when we stop using resurrection day as a launchpad for the same tired grievance reel and actually try building something that lasts longer than the next protest sign.
(And yes, I’ll have another glass of that Roman wine.) 🌷

🚨🚨🚨🇺🇸🇮🇷U.S. special forces rescued the second crew member of the F-15 fighter jet that was shot down over Iran, three U.S. officials told me. My story on @axios
axios.com/2026/04/05/ira…
English

The video is pitch-black, extremely shaky, and low-quality with no subtitles. No clear speech or dialogue is audible or visible—mostly just blurry nighttime footage of rocky/muddy ground, figures moving around, and what appear to be bodies lying on the terrain. Hard to make out details beyond that.
English

@JoeTruzman Running around with US Special Forces actively engaging nearby doesn’t seem the smartest thing to be doing.

In a world that worships comfort, convenience, and “me first,” the **virtue of sacrifice** is the ultimate act of courage.
It’s not self-destruction or seeking applause.
It’s willingly giving up something precious, time, comfort, ambition, even safety, because something greater demands it:
Your family. Your principles. Your country. Your future self.
The warrior who runs toward danger so others don’t have to.
The parent who chooses sleepless nights for their child’s tomorrow.
The leader who forfeits popularity to do what’s right.
Sacrifice isn’t weakness. It’s the price true character pays for meaning.
Every hero in history, every legacy worth remembering, was forged in what they chose to lay down.
What are you willing to sacrifice today, not for glory, but because it’s right?
That choice is where virtue is born.

@TousiTVOfficial Maybe regime X accounts have been taken over for some time 😉

The Islamic Republic’s so-called “leadership” is nowhere to be found.
Ghalibaf hasn’t been seen in over a week, yet “his” X account is still pushing narratives that sound more like U.S. political talking points than anything coming out of Tehran.
This isn’t leadership. It’s outsourcing propaganda.

@PhillipsPOBrien 1. the Straits of Hormuz are not actually closed
2. What do you suggest should be the strategy?

🚨🇮🇶🇺🇸 Iraqi militia to U.S: say goodbye to your $20 million Black Hawk
Mario Nawfal@MarioNawfal
🚨🇮🇷🇺🇸 Iran is using a simple trick to fool U.S. military drones: Net Camouflage. IRGC attack boats disguise themselves as civilian fishing vessels by towing large, empty nylon nets behind them. From around 30,000 feet, MQ-9 Reaper drones read the boat’s speed, wake, and net tension as identical to a normal fishing trawler, so the system classifies it as safe and moves on. These are multi-million dollar drones with advanced optics and AI, but they’re being deceived by a cheap nylon net. That allows these boats to move undetected while laying mines or preparing ambushes. Source: loadedlore YT

@DrewPavlou "... as Australians we should look into it.''
That is exactly what Pine Gap is doing.
English

Today the Australian public broadcaster ABC News decided to interview a Pakistani Muslim guy to try argue that Australians are opposed to allied US military bases in our country.
ABC News headline tonight: ''AUSTRALIANS CONFLICTED OVER POTENTIAL USE OF UNITED STATES BASE PINE GAP INTELLIGENCE.''
Mr Syed Ali from the Alice Springs Islamic Society called it contemptible.
Mr Ali grew up in Pakistan, which borders Iran, before moving to Australia in 2014.
"It's devastating news for us, seeing those things happening with Iran, with the Middle East," he says.
"It feels like someone is bombarding my neighbour country ... as Australians we should look into it.''

The delicious irony of Iran calling the bluff on Trump’s 15-point peace deal:
Tehran, masters of 40+ years of nuclear poker, proxy theater, and “Death to America” rallies, now claims the American olive branch is a trap … right as Us fighter squadrons, Marines, and 82nd Airborne are parking on their doorstep.
Bro, you’ve been bluffing the world since the Shah left.
Now you’re suddenly the trust-but-verify guy?
That’s the sound of a regime realising the game has changed.

If ethno-nationalism is their definition of racism, then they must apply that standard universally. Kurdish nationalism, Armenian nationalism, Tibetan nationalism, every movement asserting an ethnic people's right to self-determination and a homeland falls under the same condemnation. If they don't apply it there, they aren't making a principled philosophical argument, they are singling out one people's nationalism for a label they refuse to apply to anyone else's. That's not a consistent moral position. That's a double standard and a double standard aimed exclusively at the Jewish state.
English

@nicolelampert @Eve_Barlow They would argue that Zionism is a form of Ethno-nationalism and that is what they are defining as racist.
English

This weekend the Green Party needs to decide whether it’s a racist party.
It will vote on the motion that ‘Zionism is racism’. If passed, it will say that any Jew, or any gentile, who believes Israel should not be destroyed is a racist.
It’s a genocidal motion based on Soviet Jew hatred more than 50 years old.
