Even taking 1/2 of the 8 mil will get you a solid def or another 2nd line forward. Instead you don’t spend & we’re in the same position as last yr.

Management (Davidson, howson, Dw, jarmo) have been very clear and consistent over the years that ownership allows them to spend what they want.

@_slek9 I live in Columbus & have been a fan since day one. I believe the owners need to go bc JMCII/JMC and Priest have been there since the beginning. They are arguably top 3 worst owners in all of professional sports.

Yes, the end of this season is unbelievably disappointing. The CBJ choked when it mattered most. Be upset all you want but if you’re camp “sell the team” or “replace coaching staff” then go find a new team to support. It’s the same mentality. Get out of the 5th Line. #CBj

I totally understand fans do not want to hear it, but when the #CBJ traded for Garland, Waddell was asked about the playoffs and he said “there is a process to it.” He did not say if the team was a playoff team or not only that it is a process.

@james_hockey61 I think it starts with the fans and players tbh. They don’t really know hockey nor do they show up for the big games. Place was a library today. Why put money into something that will always fail? They’re better off re-locating to Quebec where people actually care about hockey.

This starts and ends with the McConnell family. The ownership does not care, the GM does not care, so the players do not care. What’s the point of having a team when nobody in the organization cares?

This #nufc is checked out. Every 50/50 ball our player slows up instead trying to beat the other player. Something needs to change bc they aren’t showing any signs of improvement under Howe.

Offense completely vanished in the most important part of the year. That’s on the players nobody else. Not good enough, I hope DW makes changes this offseason #cbj

@nelson1627 I disagree with some of that. Jet is absolutely a starting quality goalie. In 40 starts his stats are well above the league average in every category.

If #CBJ took their guidance from X we would never win another game.

@MMcCoy1966 I wish you were right but, they don’t have a coach past this year, they have too many 3rd/4th line forwards playing top 6 forward mins, & they don’t have a nhl caliber starting goaltender. Their prospect rankings keep dropping year over year.

Def not success. That’s apparent. But I do believe this new regime has the team headed in the right direction. Would be very helpful to make the playoffs this year, but they will absolutely eclipse last year’s point total. Not sure that’s success, but it is a directional improvement.

@MMcCoy1966 I believe most NHL franchises would have at least a goal of making the playoffs. Our franchise has missed this goal 19 of 25 years. How would you describe that? A success? Average?

Just think of the assets we could have gotten for Coyle. Would have landed a 1st and a prospect. Instead, no playoffs & he walks for nothing or we give him way too much money for too long for a guy in his late 30s. #CBJ

Two quick takes. 1. The players and coaches won't say it publicly. But I will. That's as tired as I've ever seen #CBJ. Ran on fumes. Sixth game in nine games. They have to learn to play in these conditions. 2. We'll see about Olivier. But injuries major factor as well now.

Ownership needs to go. The taxpayers bailed them out by buyer nationwide & then the team begs for constants upgrades. Gives us 6 POs in 25 years & now is 17 million under the cap. For once show us you care anywhere near what the fans do. #cbj

So many years in a row this #cbj plays just well enough for a pick in the low to mid teens & it does nothing to rebuild. I’d rather us go the Sharks route than this group of 3rd liners.

@HouseOfDeGucci This team lacks skilled forwards. This team is filled with other teams 3rd liners, except for Fantilli and KM.

What’s the #CBJ fan base think about that one? These last few games are starting to get worrisome. A game of that magnitude, you cannot lose a 3-0 lead in the 3rd. That’s the Dean Evason team right there. Bones ain’t on the ice. What’s going on here?
