No, I understood. My comment was a snide remark on the overall tone of the conversation, probably born from the same frustration as everybody else. That being said, even through Demidov is ahead of Lindstrom at this point, the jury is still out… although heavily weighted in the Canadians direction. Picking talent in the draft is hard… probably only baseball is more difficult than hockey. The Lindstrom pick was largely lauded as a good one at the time. A few more years and we will know. Btw, I’m sure you can find examples like this with every NHL team.

#CBJ fans that think this team is close to competing should compare the team’s young (under 25 years old) core pieces and top prospects with the up and coming teams of the league.

@MMcCoy1966 I wish you were right but, they don’t have a coach past this year, they have too many 3rd/4th line forwards playing top 6 forward mins, & they don’t have a nhl caliber starting goaltender. Their prospect rankings keep dropping year over year.

@nelson1627 I disagree with some of that. Jet is absolutely a starting quality goalie. In 40 starts his stats are well above the league average in every category.

Def not success. That’s apparent. But I do believe this new regime has the team headed in the right direction. Would be very helpful to make the playoffs this year, but they will absolutely eclipse last year’s point total. Not sure that’s success, but it is a directional improvement.
