@_marimartins04 Not everyone, but France was a key destination of Portuguese emigration in the 1960s and 1970s to the point where there’re up to 3 million Portuguese born/descendants living in France right now (under the most optimistic statistics). I’ve seen more amazing things in movies. 😀

Among our last batch of graduates from Master's in Economics (MAE), Analytical Political Economy (MAPE), and Economics and Computation (MSEC), 35 students were placed in PhD programs, including Princeton, Yale, Wharton, Columbia, Maryland, Boston University, and many others. 🏆

Two (not just one, but TWO!) of my former @BrandeisU students reached out to me to let me know they were accepted to the @YaleEconomics PhD program. To be able to share in their success and happiness is one of the most rewarding aspects of my job. I have a big smile in my face.

My running log says a lot about my yearly physical and mental conditions. I ran 1,000+ miles in 2022, roughly 7 miles every 2.5 days, from start to end of year, in 5 cities and 3 countries. No sick days, no injuries, a lot of discipline and emotional balance. A good year. 🏃♂️

One more reason why @DukeEcon's MA program is in a league of its own. Every year, we hold mock interviews to help our alumni now completing their PhDs. Today, it was @steph_a_karol's turn. Stephanie (MA '17) is doing great work on political and charitable donations at @umichECON.
