Thanks!. The images of the printed models were made with two Anycubic Vypers using the default Cura slicer settings about 3 or 4 years ago — I don't remember exactly. In the printed model photos, some areas with large bridges have a bit of 'stringing', but I'm sure with modern printers everything will turn out perfectly. Apart from that, everything you see is tested. And free!!!

@nemlaed Playable interiors and no supports is a lovely combo for FDM terrain. That is the kind of design choice that makes a file feel generous to print, not just good in the render.

Regarding the end of physical games for Sony PlayStation. Start saving now if you haven’t already, and buy yourself a decent mid-range PC in 2028. Connect it to the living room TV (there are several ways to do it). Set up Steam in Big Picture mode and you’ll have a living room 'console'. And most importantly, get one of those 3D-printed figures ➡️cults3d.com/en/users/Nemla… and place it next to the PC to decorate it😎.

@nemlaed @CG_Trader The CGTrader is a thing for real. I mean, they take a huge chunk of your work, they don't advertise you at all, they slap brutal discounts on your models without warning, and they cancel others for no reason, but wait, on top of that they'll expect us to thank them...🙄

I don't understand some 3D model sales websites; they give you an option to mark potential NSFW content and then penalize you for uploading NSFW content. So what's the verdict then!? 🙄

The price Rockstar Games has slapped on GTA VI seems fair to me. If any studio has earned the right to charge whatever the hell they want for one of their games, it’s them. Is it a kick in the teeth for consumers? Yes. But buying it or not is still your choice. And by the way, you can also thank your beloved, trustworthy Twitch streamers for that sky-high price — the same ones who rode the GTA V money train all the way to the bank, and will absolutely do it again with GTA VI.

Many years ago, back when military service was still done with spears, in the UDK engine (Unreal Development Kit) you could already do cloth with an Nvidia plugin called Nvidia APEX PhysX. Basically, you just painted vertices on a model to tell it which parts would collide with the bone colliders of a typical character — perfect for capes or other simulations.And now you're telling me that in VRChat, to make a skirt collide or simulate cloth, I have to make a huge complicated mess with bone chains for the exact same thing? Am I missing something here or what the hell is going on?🤣 #Vrchat #vrchatavatar #vrcmodel

Okay, I mean it will run games below 60 fps if you play them at 2560x1440, and even with medium/low settings. It looks like Valve is positioning this Steam Machine (SM) as more of a living-room console for the TV. What’s the point of playing at 1920x1080 on a 4K TV? I think the SM makes sense for a standard 1080p monitor, but even then it’s still very expensive.

@nemlaed 2k means 1080p. It does 1080p pretty well.

Steam Machine at 1000€ for the base model and it can barely run games at 2K and 30 FPS. And Valve sells it so you can have it as a gaming machine in the living room. What’s stopping people from just connecting their PC to the living room TV?😓

For me, frame rate is principal. In 2026, having 60 fps should be the absolute minimum anyone should demand on a console or PC. As for you not liking Windows, that says a lot about your prejudice. You can buy a proper PC and install Linux. I have a Steam Deck and a Windows PC — I’m not a fanboy of any operating system, defending it like a hooligan with his football team.

@nemlaed SM will be good enough for years if you aren't an UHD texture 4K resolution 120 FPS chaser. And Windows? Ew.

Exactly!! I have my work PC connected to the TV, and with this image thing, if I want I can work from the sofa. We're in 2026 — just set up Steam in Big Picture mode and make it launch when you start the PC, and you'll have a 'console' in the living room. We’re long past the MS-DOS era and the old stigma that PCs are very complicated to use.

@ariklus1 But isn't it worth spending 200 or 300 € or dollars more to buy a PC that's twice as powerful as the Steam Machine? You can set Steam to Big Picture mode and make it launch automatically when Windows starts, and you'll have a very similar machine.

@nemlaed If you have a better gaming PC there's 0 reasons to buy GabeCube and I'm saying it as someone who's going to buy the cube if no sold out shenanigans.
