I think maybe I can speak to this in a way that will be hard to hit me for so I’m gonna say it for those that ain’t in a position: Do y’all have any idea how hard it is to live with a mental illness in 2020 and how much harder it is with kids that you’re pretending normal for?

@oranicuhh Yes! And children don’t exist to be treated like subordinates that need to be seen and not heard. My favorite part about parenting is doing so in a way that holds space for their opinions and feelings, no matter how big.

If/when I have kids, it won’t be because I want a “little me” running around or because I want a physical representation of my partner & I. It’ll be because I want to raise them to be the type of person the world needs. Children aren’t accessories
