Am I misremembering or haven't tarrifs on cars been 40% for nearly 2 years? Are people celebrating a retaining of the 40% or a cut to 25%? Or am I missing something?

Went to register a SIM today, and what happened honestly got me thinking. After the first process, he captured my face, and I assumed everything was done. Next thing, he said the registration didn’t go through because the network was bad. Since I wasn’t paying too much attention at first, we started the process all over again. This time, I noticed he picked up another SIM entirely, not the one we had registered earlier. That was when it hit me… he had registered two different SIMs. This is exactly how people get implicated in things they know nothing about. I made sure I collected both SIMs, even though he kept denying it. I’m very sure of what I saw. In the next 24 hours, I’ll find out if both were activated. Please, whenever you’re registering a SIM, pay close attention. Don’t assume anything. Watch every step.

@netotse @bigbrutha_ Island Operation means that you will take power from the grid and also give power to the grid. That is what Island operation mean. The main thing is going closer to net zero.

@Ajairei @smith_cornel A planned outage could mean there's something they've noticed they want to repair or that they want to give another area electricity (as per share of national cake...lol) but your Disco knows you are not supposed to have light at that time. You can't always tell which it is.

@Ajairei @smith_cornel It depends on whether it's a forced or planned outage. Forced means something spoilt, maybe transformer, pole, cable or something, usually protective equipment will operate and cutoff light to avoid damage to life/property. Could be transient so they try to restore immediately

@markessien You will ruin your AC if you cycle it with a smart switch. Abruptly cutting off power mid cycle will cause damage eventually. Always use a remote.

If you have solar panels that produce in excess of your battery capacity, you can sink the excess into cooling (ACs). You do not even need an inverter AC - you can simply cycle the AC on and off with a smart switch, giving your batteries enough time to fill back up.

Just finished backing bread with my electrical oven on top of generating over ₦11,000 of electricity which I would have paid for if I had used power from my Band A grid Tariffs.
