@Dictionarycom Also, I work as an English trainer in Germany. My students sometimes get similar words mixed up, so I've often had to remind my students that we always want more dessert, but never more desert.

@Dictionarycom Words with double letters (or maybe singles, who can remember?) can be hard to spell. My mother always used the mnemonic "one Cream and two Sugars" for remembering how to spell "necessary". Without thinking I usually say that whenever I have to write it.
