@ko_kow I love Yoko Tsuno! In my childhood I always read the comics from the public library! Now I've got some of the collection releases! As a kid I especially loved the space episodes. But today I also appreciate how the detailed art style gives a glimpse in the past when it was drawn!

Do you remember the specs of your very first PC? I got mine in 1991, after my journey started with an Atari 2600 in 1980, a C64 in 1984, and an Amiga in 1987. Slowly but surely progressing to finally get my first PC with these specs: ✅ 286 AT / 16 MHz ✅ 20 MB hard drive ✅ 1 MB RAM ✅ 3.5" and 5.25" disk drives ✅ 14" VGA monitor ⛔️ PC speaker sound (yikes...) And yes, it had a key to lock it, of course! What was your "first love"?

Additionally! Do you ever wonder why Otoboke Beaver took off while so many other bands didn’t? I think it’s very obvious why and they’re a great example of what can happen.

In our experience, the companies start off flexible and exchange information and ideas openly and timely, but the moment there’s a whiff of a band taking off overseas they clamp down and restrict everything. Suddenly everything is out of sync and a band’s international growth slowly starts to stagnate. Happened to us too many times 🥱

Who played this epic masterpiece of gaming history? Some games feel truly timeless. Stunt Car Racer (MicroStyle, 1989) is one of them. It was designed by Geoff Crammond, the genius behind other legendary titles such as The Sentinel and Formula One Grand Prix. The iconic “vroooooooooooom” when you rev it up, the cleverly drawn crack along the upper frame of the car to show damage, the incredible physics, and those massive jumps across insane ramps… What more is there to say? It was a near-perfect game in its time and remains a whole lot of fun 37 years later. Hopefully, it will still be talked about by future generations who haven’t even been born yet. Stunt Car Racer was available on the “big 6” platforms back in the day: Commodore 64, Amiga, Amstrad CPC, Atari ST, DOS, and ZX Spectrum.

I reached out to many overseas travel agencies that cater to visitors to Japan, asking whether they would consider including our café as part of their Japan sightseeing itineraries. Unfortunately, every single agency gave essentially the same response: “Why would anyone come all the way to Japan just to visit a British-style maid café? At the very least, you should be serving Japanese tea. Hahaha…” So please, especially if you’re from the UK or another country abroad, come visit our café.
