Neuroscience PhD candidate committed to memory in natural and artificial intelligence systems | @sjo09 lab & @Comp_NeuroLab based @SickKids & @UofT | 🇨🇦🇺🇦

My postdoctoral work is finally published in Nature Neuroscience after six years! We show that dopamine signaling in the lateral entorhinal cortex, previously identified as being involved in memory, is disrupted in an Alzheimer’s disease mouse model. nature.com/articles/s4159…

We made a memory system for our models at PI. We call it Multi-Scale Embodied Memory (MEM). It provides both short-term and long-term memory to enable very long tasks. We tested it on cleaning a kitchen (and yes, washing dishes), making grilled cheese, and more.

Thrilled to share my first pre-print, where we show that episodic memory formation is theta-rythmic! Thanks to my supervisor, Katherine Duncan, and collaborators for your support and insights. Looking forward to where this research program takes us! osf.io/preprints/psya…
