Aokiji fought Akainu for 10 days Akainu clashed with the world's strongest man Whitebeard Whitebeard clashed with Shanks Shanks beat Loki, who was strong enough to oneshot Harald. And Harald could never tame Ragnir either, so Loki even without his df scales above him. Harald fought with Xebec to a standstill, whose swordsmanship is drawn attention to as being particularly powerful. Roger's swordsmanship is never glazed like this and PRIME Garp was only ever equals with him, but neither have feats against Xebec like Harald does.

@neveraired Also if Shiryu used Haki on that blade and stabbed Aokiji, it would do the exact same thing. Prove me wrong

Aokiji got speed blitzed by Old Garp and knocked out by 2-3 times. Garp had to get weakened and ganged up on in order to lose. Prime Garp would be absolute overkill

@Surfbone2 Isn't this an argument for my point? Garp got weakened by him and then knocked him down with a hakiless punch, so both of them have shit tier durability. Why wouldn't I assume Aokiji could do worse to him?

@Surfbone2 Garp wouldn't need to do all this shit if he was stronger than Aokiji the entire time. How do you expect me to infer that he was winning if you're telling me he had to cuck down to Shiryu???

@neveraired He didn’t get “fucked up” by him, he willingly took a stab in stomach by him in efforts to save Koby. And why is your first assumption that it downplays Garp and not upscales Shiryu? Being featless doesn’t indicate one or the other.

@neveraired Turning Pirate Island into Punk Hazard would have done nothing but kill everyone but Garp, considering Garp’s Haki would have protected him. He didn’t use 3 moves to win, Garp allowed himself to get captured so the rest could escape. And you’re forgetting Garp was weakened

@Surfbone2 And then Aokiji got up again too. Can't say the same for Garp. You'd think Garp would speedblitz them again as he was shown doing before and wouldn't need to sacrifice himself to Aokiji, but here he is not fighting back for some reason 🤥

@neveraired Also, Garp got up immediately after that punch by Aokiji, knocked down Aokiji AGAIN, then punches Pirate island. Also, Garp let himself get captured and restrained b/c of he didn’t, Aokiji would have stopped the Koby’s rescue by freezing the ocean, preventing their escape

I'm unsure if you're arguing that Aokiji just getting hit by a weakened old Garp is an anti-feat? Cuz he got up and restrained him right after in the same chapter Aokiji was explicitly talking to the fodders who tried to charge at Garp and you're purposefully misinterpreting that The entire time Aokiji was fighting emotionally conflicted, so him saying it took a "team effort" doesn't mean anything since he's talking about this suppressed version of himself as a part of that team.

@neveraired You mean the fight when he was verbatim stated to be weakened during the fight twice? The same fight where Aokiji stated Garp could have both arms and legs trussed and be fine? The same fight where Aokiji stated it was a team effort and how he was going for the kill?
