Imagine if every stadium shared messages like this at half-time!! 👏 Swansea City used their scoreboard to remind fans to check in on a friend, or speak to the person next to them - words on a space usually reserved for tactical updates and substitution numbers. It's simple, but in a sport that so often overcomplicates everything, that's exactly the point. Football grounds hold a strange kind of power… those stands can make you feel ten feet tall or completely alone depending on the day. The dressing room is the same. You can be surrounded by teammates and still be fighting something privately that nobody knows about 🤷‍♂️ I urge clubs to seriously think about the reach they have. Those screens, those stadiums - there is no better place to put a message that matters, especially one that people wouldn't think to seek out themselves. There’s a lot of media and PR speak in this interview without Reddin actually saying anything of any value … I’m going to guess that he was briefed before going on and that him not hearing AWJ was terribly convenient …

Mr Reddin. We were NEVER disconnected from the team. The disconnect is with the WRU, created by the WRU! And yes, many agreed that ‘a change’ was needed, but as you hadn’t given the detail of the ‘change’, how could people give an informed and answer? So stop referencing that!

Today I met with WRU bosses, urging them to reset their plans and be straight with fans. They can’t say no decision has been made about Ospreys when their plans would see the club disappear. Almost nobody likes what they’re doing. Absolutely no-one likes how they’re doing it.

Here is Abi Tierney’s version of what was said at the meeting with Swansea Council. And yet she and the chair Richard Collier-Keywood have said the sale of Cardiff to Y11 wouldn’t mean the Ospreys are the team cut. Please someone tell me if I’m missing something.

The WRU has responded, saying the minutes make clear that Abi Tierney did not say that the Ospreys would not be a professional men’s team after 2027. However, that appears to be exactly what she said. The annotations made in red in the minutes are hers.

This is incredibly serious. I am meeting the chief executive of the WRU this afternoon - there are a lot of things to discuss. Not least the urgency of bringing this chaos to an end.
