The theory is the special is an extension of the main
- Hydra complete charge and screen both do 40 dmg and “wall” out the enemy
- Edit charges and then has a condensed shot at the end, crab fires and has a condensed shot

Toss it into a teammate's fight while you get a better angle or while you're pushing forward
Another way to use it is as an explosive "splash wall"

Pencil has a lot of range for a fast charge so the west keeps walking into it and getting upset. It did get a bit more efficient and mobile but that was in 4.0 lol
Personally I’m ok with having an active charger like that in the game. I also haven’t seen much jp on it🧐

@newtj_ Newt! Miss you, I have a question since I haven't kept track much of Splatoon 3. But I have been seeing much discourse on Pencil in the West than that in JP. Is there a reason why? Did they buff pencil in the previous update that caused it to become good or something
