This morning we have another fantastic turnout for our men’s walk. Honestly, it means everything seeing so many blokes show up week on week for each other.
I know I get a bit of stick for it on here. But listen… I ain’t bothered. Because I know what this is about. I know the walks are helping people. And deep down, I think the ones having a go… they’re probably the ones hurting the most.
And I get that. I’ve had my moments in the past. I know what it feels like when things ain’t right upstairs, when you’re carrying stuff and don’t even know who to talk to.
That’s why this walk really matters.
It ain’t some big fancy thing. It’s just men walking side by side and having a chat. No pressure. No judgement. Just people being real.
Sometimes all it takes is getting out the house, having a bit of fresh air and knowing you’re not on your own. That can change everything. It has done for me.
Too many men are struggling in silence. Far far far Too many. And it breaks my heart. Because no one should feel like they’ve got nowhere to turn.
So I’m saying this to anyone wanting to read it. If you’re thinking about coming, come down. Don’t overthink it. Just turn up. You’ll be welcomed, no questions asked.
We’ll walk, we’ll talk, have a laugh… and yeah, I’ll get the teas in after.
We are doing this every Sunday now. Turning up for each other. Being there. Supporting one another.
Life can be tough… but you don’t have to go through it on your own. Tough times don’t last; but tough people do.
Big love to every single one of you.
Let’s keep walking. Let’s keep talking.
If you want to come next Sunday, be at The Thatchers Arms pub in Brentwood for 8am.
Bosh ❤️
