@NiklausFuller do you have a software engineer on staff or would you try to outsource or try to figure it out yourself with claude? I'm curious where someone like you draws the line. It obviously sounds like you can get pretty far yourself with claude

@nfcodes We are looking to implement vertex ai search into our Google work stuff as one part of the harness for unstructured data

this is wasted space @jxnlco one suggestion that would speed up my workflow show open PRs and allow me to start a code review

@gabriel1 this worked for me the first freelance job I got was from me recording a loom demoing that I could understand / do the task my upwork profile was brand new with no ratings so I removed as much doubt as possible by sending the loom

people who interview you usually don't know what to ask, as they don't know their own concerns so it's up to you to figure all of them out and make sure all are adressed. big hack is straight up sharing your screen and showing a demo that they did not ask for

25% drop in cost/conversion for my google ads I was skeptical about the google ads suggestions because before when I listened I ended up running unprofitably now my plan is to always have at least one experiment running at all times

im setting up google ads like anthropic brutal experience from google documenting it roughly for now but I'll share more if I can finalize here is why it's brutal. i have needed to - spend time figuring out to access google ads api in the first place - set up a manager ad account (instead of normal) - create a service account in gcloud console - add the service account to my manager ad account - need to submit a "Design documentation of your tool" so I wanted to have claude create a tool by testing the api first - need to find the link to create a separate test manager ad account - found the link and the sign up flow looks exactly the same until you submit the form which is confusing - sign up and go to get my api key and the it says the test account uses my prod api - try to check my access and it fails - need to add the service account to my test manager account as well - finally can create test campaigns - now need to create my skills + submit for approval hopefully the rest goes smoothly and I can share how I got this set up

A view for conversations attached to a pr would be awesome i.e. all of these had threads were run while on a specific branch or pushed to that branch maybe actually some sub organization inside each project so I can see my threads associated with some feature as a whole I find myself pinning a bunch of threads but then I lose context for the project as a whole

@rafalwilinski How would you associate a conversation with a pull request? This sort of assumes that there is a one-to-one mapping between a thread, a branch, and a pull request.

my Codex app wishlist: - search through chats - links between chats and PRs. Opening 25 convos trying to find that one tied to PR X is not fun. - multiple windows - hooks @jxnlco pls implement make no mistakes

whoever designed this deserves a trophy bro, you can even tag existing agents in the main thread to give them additional information This is some next level shit.

codex sucks for UI because it has prompt leakage / meta commentary in the output summarized actual example: prompt: Make an app to search sneaker data. Data is stored in aws bucket X output: a UI that literally says "search sneaker data from aws bucket X" + cards on cards This is not a perfect example, but I've seen this multiple times in really questionable ways beyond just "its trying to add relevant context" claude actually understands the intent of the prompt and the details that matter. I haven't tried the gpt 5.4 frontend guidance so maybe that changes things. Playwright interactive skill is great though

@melvynx Cloudflare is the best imo. I feel like dns propagation on many other providers is slow. Make a change on Cloudflare and you can essentially just refresh your browser and see the update

Don’t use Namecheap it’s literally the worst domain provider.
