🚨🗣️ Wayne Rooney on Manchester United and the current manager situation;
“Sacking Amorim was the first mistake. You don’t bring in a manager to rebuild a culture and then panic when results dip. Manchester United keep restarting the project every six months, that’s why nothing sticks.
Now everyone wants Carrick permanently? Fine, but only if the club are actually ready to back him. Don’t give him the job just to sack him by November when pressure comes again.
This club needs stability, not sentiment. If United want a serious long-term reset, Julian Nagelsmann is a top option …. modern, brave, elite tactically.”

English

For Manchester United fans who are glazing Julian Nagelsmann, what exactly is the difference between him and Erik ten Hag or even Rúben Amorim?
Where is the guarantee that if we get him, he is suddenly going to click or do better than Michael Carrick is doing right now?
I have watched him with the Germany national team and honestly, he is not as convincing as people on this app are trying to make him look.
If Nagelsmann, Andoni Iraola, or those other names they keep throwing around are the only options then I would rather stick with Carrick as the permanent coach.

Zoba@Czooba
Man United fans, are you convinced that Julian Nagelsmann is the right manager for us?
English

@Utd_Deen @TouchlineX He is just waiting for Carrick to fail and boom the bombshell when Carrick succeeds he will remain silent

English

🚨 Ruben Amorim has no immediate plans to speak on his time at Manchester United.
He has not spoken since the club sacked him.
— BBC[ @TouchlineX]
Was I the only one curious on hearing what he had to say ??

English

If Michael Carrick gets the job permanently and the performances get worse, watch how the narrative changes.
Suddenly, it will be “we’re in transition.”
“Give him time.”
“Trust the process.”
The same patience that was never given before will appear overnight.
Not because the standards changed - but because of who he is.
That’s the reality.

English

@Utdbeni What did you exactly wanted manchester united to do with Amorim? I don't know why you rate Amorim above manchester united ? Amorim is a failed experiment at manchester united, all those who still want Amorim at united are our own enemies who don't want to witness our success

English

Honestly I want Rashford back, not only him but Sancho and Onana. I want the rot to continue so people learn the hard work Amorim was doing behind the scenes.
R.I.P MANCHESTER UNITED
Martien 🇳🇱@MartienBall
Anyone who wants Rashford back at United is literally an enemy of this football club. They simply don’t want United to succeed.
English

@Utd__max10 Nonsense, Nagelsmann will ask for a whole new squad, perhaps we all know that Iraola is a joke. I better go with Carrick not another clown 👇 .

English

@utdblessin I like both of them on the pitch, our future defenders. If we are to lose, it will definitely not be because of them, it will be our incapability to score goals as usual

English

@Utdbeni I will wash your legs with omo if real madrid put Amorim on the list not even to talk of appointing him as their manager. That profile Pic is getting heavier on your shoulders each day. You don't know what to do again.

English

They said Amorim was washed and will never get any top managerial job again, if Madrid wants someone to sanitize their team they know who to go for.

🔴Manchester United's Next Manager Race
Who's in the Frame?
(April 2026 Update)
After Ruben Amorim's exit in January, Michael Carrick has steadied the ship as interim boss and is the clear favourite to get the job permanently this summer.
Here's the current top list of coaches most strongly linked (based on betting odds + reports):
1️⃣ Michael Carrick (Interim)
Odds-on favourite (often 4/6 to 10/11). Impressive results, knows the club inside out, and has strong internal backing. Many fans and insiders see him as the sensible long-term choice.
2️⃣ Julian Nagelsmann (Germany NT)
High-upside tactical innovator. Frequently in the top 2-3 on shortlists. Could be available post-2026 World Cup.
3️⃣ Andoni Iraola (Bournemouth)
Rising fast – praised for progressive style and overachieving on a budget. United fans love the modern approach.
4️⃣ Oliver Glasner (Crystal Palace – leaving this summer)
Solid Premier League performer with an organised system. Low-risk, high-reward external target.
5️⃣ Luis Enrique (PSG)
Experienced big-club boss with Premier League interest, but availability looks tricky.Other names still floating: Unai Emery (Aston Villa)
Gareth Southgate (unemployed)
Roberto De Zerbi
The hierarchy (Berrada & Wilcox) wants a proper long-term fit after past mistakes – decision likely in the summer.
What do you think, Red Devils?
Carrick for stability or go big with Nagelsmann/Iraola?
Drop your preferred choice below!

English

@Utd__max10 Nonsense, Nagelsmann will ask for a whole new squad, perhaps we all know that Iraola is a joke. I better go with Carrick not another clown 👇

English

@UtdMaI Look, I don't know what picture you're trying to paint, but u must know that Carrick knows how to win the premier and champions league more than Amorim, he Even understands the club and the league than fake Amorim, so your comparisons are considered weak.

English

Amorim and Carrick were given completely different jobs.
Amorim came in to rebuild the football club… implement a style, reset bad habits, give United an actual identity again. That always costs points early on.
Carrick? He’s here for six months with one mission: get top four. No philosophy overhaul. No long-term project. Just maximise results.
Short-term coaching means to squeeze points however you can.
Long-term coaching means to build something that lasts.
That’s why Carrick can pick up more points with the same squad Amorim was trying to rewire.
Amorim refused the easy route. No low block, no survival football, no quick fixes just to calm the table. He stuck to the process even when it hurt.
Some fans watch the standings.
Others watch the direction.
And that’s where the divide is.

English

@believer834453 Anyone coaching barca and real madrid in Spain must win, PSG in France and bayern Munich must win it's not as the same as in England

English

What do United fans have against Iraola becoming the United manager?
Mikel Arteta, who has turned Arsenal into a powerhouse in spite of their incompetence in finals, was Pep's assistant.
Vincent Kompany, who relegated Burnley, has now taken Bayern to the Quater finals of the UCL.
We need a manager who will come in and build a structure and a real system, and looking at how he has transformed Bournemouth? Iraola could be that guy.

English

@Cantonadevils You are now analyzing Amorim here, he will come in and start requesting for the entire new squad. That's if your analysis is correct

English

Julian Nagelsmann ball Players don’t stay fixed, Full-backs become midfielders, Wingers move inside, strikers drift wide which makes his teams; Hard to mark and Unpredictable.
His principles are quite similar to Luis Enrique in which any player can pop up in different positions to make a play.
In some games he might:
• Start with a 4-2-3-1
• Switch to 3-4-2-1 mid-game
• Change pressing intensity depending on opponent.
The only downside of his system or style of play is that it can be overcomplicated, defensive instability and needs technically smart players to execute.
( Manchester United players are too dumb to handle technical coaches and cry and let down coaches/sack them when they are technical )

Under carrick we are in 3rd place in epl table with +12 goals but carrick doesn’t have game plan and structure, just vibes and scores
