The Nagaland State Commission for Women express it's profound shock, anguish and strongest condemnation regarding the vile, racially charged assault and harassement of a female doctor from Nagaland currently working at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Gorakhpur. This is not merely a criminal incident; it is a shameful reflection of the recurring, systematic racism that individuals from the North-East continue to face in other parts of the country. Such acts of hate committed near a premier institution of national importance are deeply disturbing and violate the basic safety and dignity of healthcare professionals. It is unacceptable that our citizens feels insecure in their own country. The NSCW urgently demand immediate and exemplary punishment for all the perpetrators involved, while we acknowledge the initial arrest. We demand that all individuals involved in this heinous act are tracked down and brought to justice immediately.
