Electric energy at the 1st Mithun–Rhino Pickleball Championships between Assam and Nagaland! Supersonic rallies, breathtaking reflexes, thrilling matches and incredible displays of talent made the courts come alive. The intensity, passion and competitive spirit on display were truly exhilarating - and the atmosphere was nothing short of spectacular. From powerful smashes to nail-biting points, it was pickleball at its very best. Above all, it was a celebration of sport, friendship, youth and the growing bond between our two states. Sports Diplomacy in Action The Inaugural Mithun–Rhino Pickleball Championship 2026, bringing together teams from Nagaland and Assam, is a unique initiative designed to strengthen bonds of goodwill, friendship, and mutual respect between our neighbouring states. By uniting young athletes and sports enthusiasts on one platform, the championship aims not only to promote the fast-growing sport of pickleball, but also to celebrate the energy, talent, and aspirations of our youth. More importantly, this initiative reflects a forward-looking approach to sports diplomacy - using sport as a bridge to encourage collaboration, deepen understanding, and foster positive engagement between our people.
