Who wants to see some more $OPEN math? 👀 This time we're going over the new products built into Opendoor 2.0: → The Doma acquisition (title + escrow, now owned in-house) → The Opendoor Mortgage product (AI-native, no lender fees, lower rates) I'm going to break down what a single home transaction looks like under the old Opendoor vs the new full stack. Then scale the math. It's very tasty 👀

One of my favorite stats of all time: Rodger Federer won just 54% of points during his career. Put another way, he only won ~4 more points out of every 100 than he lost. Federer turned a +4% point edge into 20 Grand Slam titles You don’t win by winning 100% of the points. You win with small edges that compound over time.

130 schools said no. He led the losingest program in college football history to a national championship anyway. Fernando Mendoza was a 2-star recruit from Miami. He tried to walk on at his hometown school. They passed. So did FIU. So did FAU. So did everyone else. At 17, he was sitting in his bedroom, crying over a silent recruiting inbox—after driving to 18 camps with his dad and sending highlights to more than 100 programs. Not one FBS offer. His only option? Yale. No scholarship. No NFL path. Everyone told him to be “realistic.” “Know your place.” “Be grateful.” He didn’t listen. Because Mendoza understood something most people miss: The worst outcome isn’t failing. It’s never getting the chance to try. Two weeks before signing day in 2022, his phone rang. Cal needed a body. One offer. Out of 134 schools. He took it. He arrived as the third-string quarterback. Spent a year on the scout team. Lost his first four starts. Got sacked 41 times behind a broken offensive line. Still got up. Every time. Then Cal brought in a transfer instead of building around him. So Mendoza left the only school that had ever said yes. He transferred to Indiana—the losingest program in college football history. People laughed. “Career suicide.” “Graveyard program.” “Nobody wins there.” One coach told him something different: “I’m going to make you the best Fernando Mendoza possible.” That was enough. Mendoza wasn’t just playing for football. His mother has battled multiple sclerosis for 18 years. Before every snap, he thought of her. “My mother is my why.” Indiana went 16–0. Beat six Top-10 teams. Won their first Big Ten title since 1945. Mendoza threw 41 touchdowns. Won the Heisman—first in school history. First Cuban-American to ever do it. Then came the title game. Miami. Near his hometown. Fourth-and-4. Season on the line. Quarterback draw. The kid 134 schools rejected spun through defenders and dove into the end zone. Game over. Indiana—national champions. The losingest program became the best team in America. All because a 17-year-old refused to believe “no” was the end. Rankings don’t decide your ceiling. Gatekeepers don’t write your ending. Being overlooked isn’t a verdict—it’s a starting point. Sometimes all you need is one shot… and the courage to bet on yourself when nobody else will. Don’t quit. Credit: Barclay Mullins

Somalis were carrying suitcases thru airport security, with stolen millions of $$$, to a warlord in Somalia. But I had a shampoo bottle that was more than 3.4 oz and TSA confiscated it.

🚨 BREAKING - IT'S OFFICIAL: Tim Walz DROPS OUT of the 2026 Minnesota governor's race, plagued by Somali fraud exposed by independent journalists like Nick Shirley FAFO, TIM! It's ABOUT TIME. Good riddance. Now LOCK THE TRAITOR UP. Tim had the gall to pin the fraud on WHITE PEOPLE instead of taking accountability for what the Somalis have done. He can't leave office soon enough.

SUBORDINATE: “Boss… silver is about to squeeze… this is a CODE RED!” 🚨 BOSS: “$hit… Halt trading. Now. Just tell them the data centers need to cool off.” SUBORDINATE: “But… boss, it’s winter in Illinois… and we still have two backup systems…” BOSS: “No excuses. Do it, or we’re toast.” SUBORDINATE: “…Copy that… everything’s shutting down. Pray this works.” BOSS: “Damn it… these apes are out of control.”
Momentum Structural Analysis@Oliver_MSA

The Aurora IL data center that CME operates from uses a chiller plant with N+2 per data hall. Meaning, even if one of the cooling components fails, there are two more than could kick in. Their cooling system is designed to operate even under simultaneous systems failure, and yet right now of all times, EVERYTHING fails all at once? The "cooling issue" story seems very unlikely.

exactly zero people believe this. you have 3 data centers in chicago. one for recovery of data in case of disaster or hacking. you have one overheating server and can't turn to a backup?
CME Group@CMEGroup

Due to a cooling issue at CyrusOne data centers, our markets are currently halted. Support is working to resolve the issue in the near term and will advise clients of Pre-Open details as soon as they are available.
