CME GROUP TO LAUNCH 100-OUNCE SILVER FUTURES TO MEET RECORD RETAIL DEMAND

The Aurora IL data center that CME operates from uses a chiller plant with N+2 per data hall. Meaning, even if one of the cooling components fails, there are two more than could kick in. Their cooling system is designed to operate even under simultaneous systems failure, and yet right now of all times, EVERYTHING fails all at once? The "cooling issue" story seems very unlikely.

Due to a cooling issue at CyrusOne data centers, our markets are currently halted. Support is working to resolve the issue in the near term and will advise clients of Pre-Open details as soon as they are available.

They bring in the Taco Bell CEO… and the market cap jumps $20B overnight. Turns out running a company is harder than advising one.
