It's demonstrable that power structures attract people who want power for the sake of power and that a significant proportion of such people are insane

Rape Crisis was told by SNP ministers to abandon a campaign because Alex Salmond’s sexual assault court case was coming up. An academic was forced to stand down from a charity because she feared the SNP would cut off funds if the party became aware of her views on gender The SNP ploughed millions of pounds into drug charities that would support its controversial policies, such as “fix rooms” Alcohol charities which relied on the SNP for the majority of their funding acted as “the Praetorian Guard of the SNP” over the party’s key policy: minimum unit pricing for alcohol

@joannaccherry @DailyMail This journalist has suffered threats, intimidation and demonisation from you also, Joanna. Please don’t use me in your anti-SNP crusade when you have caused me nothing but grief ever since I reported legitimately on bullying claims in your WM office c 2019.

The threats, intimidation & demonisation suffered by this journalist are shocking, but they will come as no surprise to other women who dared to defy the SNP leadership or question what it’s HQ was up to in recent years. dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1… via @DailyMail

SNP MSPs called for ex-Labour MSP Pam Duncan-Glancy to resign over her ongoing relationship with sex offender Sean Morton, who had been in informal kinship care with her family. One might expect the same robust approach from the SNP towards one of their own.

NEW: Stephen Flynn has said SNP list candidate Tracy Carragher should “reflect” on whether she should continue with her campaign after she gave evidence in court in defence of Jordan Linden.

The first preview screening of Bruce Robinson's "Withnail & I" (1987) appeared to be a total disaster- the audience sat there stony-faced, never laughing once. It was only after the screening had concluded that a distraught Bruce Robinson discovered that the audience was comprised entirely of non-English speaking German tourists who were all staying at a hotel nearby. (Source: IMDb) P.S: On this day, 39 years ago, "Withnail & I" (1987) premiered in New York New Directors and New Films Festival, USA.

anybody who believes a vote for the SNP would be a vote for independence must have been living under a bush for the last 20 years - it would be a vote for another 5 years of false grievance mongering and incompetence
The SNP@theSNP

A historic SNP majority can unlock transformational change with independence - and make Nigel Farage irrelevant in Scotland’s Parliament. Without it, there is always the risk of a grubby Labour-Reform deal. #BothVotesSNP on May 7th is the only way to make sure Scotland’s future in Scotland’s hands.

@rik_big You literally have a bookcase behind you without any books. I'm going to take a wild guess that you're a Scottish nationalist, you don't read much, you dont know what literally means and your geopolitical insight can be summed up in 150 characters.

So, when the Chinese government is building a "super embassy" in London, national security doesn't matter. But it does when a Chinese company wants to invest billions in Scotland's renewable energy sector? 🤔 Independence can't come quick enough. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
John Swinney@JohnSwinney

Deeply disappointed that the UK Labour government has blocked Ming Yang’s investment in our renewables industry - putting up to 1500 Scottish jobs at risk. At the very moment we should be building clean energy, they are sabotaging Scotland’s industrial future.

John Swinney blames “hyperinflation” for the SNP’s failure to keep its 2021 promise to freeze income tax rates and bands. John Swinney obviously doesn’t know what hyperinflation means.

Today (24 March) is the anniv. of the Union of the Scottish & English Crowns in 1603, when James VI of Scotland also became King James I of England (France and Ireland) Never forget: Scotland wasn't colonised by England (as the SNP claim) It was a Scottish king who united the Crowns in 1603 and it was Scotland that first called for a union with England (1690s), resulting in the Act of Union in 1707, which created Great Britain and a single parliament. 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

@JohnSwinney Most people grow out of political ideological fantasies when they get to their twenties - communism, anarchy etc. The same goes for nationalism, except for the dimwits in the SNP.

When I started campaigning for independence as a teenager, it seemed like a distant dream. Now it is there to be won - and it's up to all of us to finish the job. Join me at the march and rally for independence this Saturday, from 11.30AM at Parliament Square in Edinburgh.
