@islanders_takes I think thats a massive part in it, I have no idea if its a MSL thing or the group of guys. Could be both but they seem to all have the same mindset and thats a belief in themselves. Might me Marty with uhis undrafted never quit on yourself attitude

@nickhr88 I've been critical of MSL as a coach but he's proving me wrong in real time. Whatever he lacks in defensive instruction - he's making up for in absolute and total buy in from that squad.

MTL fans are probably going to find this and think it's hate on Dobson but they legitimately look so much better defensively on that right side without him in the lineup. I'm not saying they're better without him. I'm just saying the defense there has been more engaged, higher effort, and better. They definitely don't break the puck out as well without him but they are closing and challenging and clearing the front much better. Last night was their best effort. That was a really tough game up and down with TBL consistently finding ways to put pressure in moments and MTL having to consistently answer and steal momentum away on the road. I've been extremely critical of MTL's chances through the playoffs. I see their lack of experience, particularly their coaching, as a major liability. But the defense is obviously playing very high-level right now and if they can sustain this (I'm still doubtful in later rounds/series they can) then they're an absolute unit.

@_JordanDecker Newhook hasnt shown up offensively but he’s had numerous defensive efforts where I noticed how well he played something. Need to keep his defense but find a way to get some offense

Demidov is on an island trying to drive a line by himself. Kapanen’s been a non factor(I’d sit him) and Newhook hasn’t shown up yet for the most part. Tampa knows when that line is on, they just gotta swarm #93.

@dadsgott @the_habitant I also wouldn’t change the lines right now, I just think this would be the only thing that would make any sense. Right now it’s easy for Tampa to match our top line. If you put salad with Demi it’s harder

@the_habitant Nah keep Bolduc - dach - texier together. good 3rd line. The only line change that would make sense would be to run Caufield - Suzy - Andy Slaf - Newy - Demi Bolduc - Dach - Tex Danault - Evans - Danault but then 2nd and 3rd lines just wont win any faceoffs

@lori10habs yea the 60% of games is brutal. big difference if RA was signed (i still dont like it but at least get it now) my thing is Guhle is great when healthy. the skate cut and appendix are some of his more recent injuries, i just think if he stays healthy you regret the move

@futurdgduCH It’s tough, I just want Hage to succeed in MTL because of his father. Zaro likely has very little value outside of MTL and if you move Reinbacher you’re going to need a mobile RHD but I agree 1 has to go to get Thomas. Thomas’ player comp is probably Suzuki. He won’t be cheap lol

Don’t waste your time making mock trade if you don’t put Hage/zaro/rein on it
