Today PM @MarkJCarney and Pres. @Isaac_Herzog discussed the urgent need for: •Hamas to release all hostages •An immediate ceasefire •The resumption of urgent life-saving humanitarian aid for civilians •A two-state solution •Hamas to lay down its weapons and have no role in Gaza.

Another weekend full of on-the-ground activism, showing Israelis, young and old, the realities of the occupation: Last night, we wrapped up the third and final day of our "Land Beyond the Mountains" seminar for educators, where we give teachers the tools and knowledge to speak about the occupation with people of all ages. They visited Zanuta and the south Hebron hills, with another tour in East Jerusalem (courtesy of @IrAmimAlerts). During the seminar, we heard from a Palestinian woman (who is forced to remain anonymous for safety reasons) who left Gaza in 2021 and has had several family members killed since October 7th. Her words helped us all understand more about the realities of life and death in Gaza, including her experience of surviving several days under the rubble of a collapsed building. Thank you to @cfpeace for facilitating the event. The group also spoke with Zakaria al-Adra, a resident of Masafer Yatta who miraculously survived being shot in the stomach at point blank range by a settler in October of 2023. Despite clear video evidence of the shooting, the shooter still remains free to this day. On Friday, we took a delegation of Rabbis from our partners at @truahrabbis to the south Hebron hills. We saw the ruins of the recently displaced village of Zanuta, and met with our partner @eidsuleman to hear about the challenges of daily life under the ever-growing threat of displacement. Lastly, we joined the weekly protests in Tel Aviv to call for a ceasefire and hostage deal now, as we do every Saturday (the sign in the photo reads “Human beings are not collateral damage”).
