Politicians & Treasury/IRD appear to be operating in parallel universes when it comes to the sustainability of the Govt’s finances. IRD says taxes will need to rise, suggesting prioritising hiking the GST rate & introducing a CGT. Politicians are unconcerned. More ⬇️
