I am hugely proud of the incredible team of people who were out in Washington DC over the last week to champion Northern Ireland across their sectors. It was an absolute honour to be able to play my role in supporting so many of our incredible ambassadors for all that is positive about Northern Ireland. This week was all about building connections and relationships, promoting the collaborations and investment opportunities and to ensure Northern Ireland was right at the centre of a hugely packed and busy week in DC. It is such an incredible privilege to get the opportunity to champion the place I love, I am so proud of Northern Ireland and what has been achieved but I also strongly believe in our potential and future. 3 years ago I beat Bowel cancer and now the big C has returned but this time it is in my liver and lungs. So I have another even bigger battle on my hands but I’m determined to win again. Only time will tell. Fingers crossed 💙

Today is the 33rd anniversary of the day the IRA bombed Warrington town centre and killed my son Tim and 3 yr old Johnathan Ball. Words can never describe how losing a child leaves a huge hole in your heart and your family. Eternal love Tim ❤️❤️
