Watford FC are threatening their own fans with banning orders and being ejected for saying the G word at the end of a song they sing. They are also encouraging fellow fans to GRASS UP other fans for singing it. What is the world coming to? And what are clubs like Watford playing at. The word in question is G Y P O which is said at the end of a Watford / Luton song sung for many years. And ironically the song in question, is one many clubs sing about their rivals "wash your mouth out son" you know the rest and will probably know the next sentence. So it is ok to sing that but not sing the G word. Encouraging grassing on fellow fans and threatening banning orders and ejections is simply disgraceful and a little bit disturbing. This all comes 1 day after fans recieved messages about renewing season tickets, funny that. Modern day football clubs doing all they can to p*ss fans off. Linfield Football Club were deeply saddened to learn of the passing of 11-year-old Mason Keilhauer, who was tragically killed in an accident on the Shankill Road earlier this week. Our thoughts and prayers are with Mason’s family, friends, and the wider local community at this incredibly difficult time. Supporters’ groups have suggested a minute’s applause in the 11th minute of tomorrow's Cup Final in memory of Mason, allowing everyone in attendance the opportunity to pay their respects to a young life lost far too soon. #Forever11

@irvine1798 Fun Fact..It was Davy, who in his role as Chairman of The Raven, allowed our LSC to form in 2004. We now have a membership of 80+ & are now the largest section in the social club. Davids void is felt not only in East Belfast, but right across the PUL community. Rest Easy DE.

David Ervine was a close friend of my family and, in his later years, by all accounts someone practically impossible to engage with in bad faith, regardless of politics. He joined the UVF in 1972 after the killing of my great-uncle, William Irvine, in the Oxford Street Bus Station bombing, believing it was the only way to defend his community around the Newtownards Road. His outlook changed during his incarceration between 1974 and 1980. During that period, he concluded his aims were better pursued through politics rather than loyalist paramilitarism, later becoming an important loyalist advocate of the 1994 ceasefire and the Good Friday Agreement. David was always critical of criminal elements referring to themselves as loyalist and was certainly in his later years the most principled Ulster unionist in opposing bigotry. It goes without saying that he would be disgusted with the state of unionism today - with regards to both the running of loyalist estates by criminals using loyalist paramilitary branding as well as the bad-faith attacks on Irish identity by the DUP and TUV. On a lighter note, I'm told the group he disliked more than any other on God's green earth was the Blues, completely unsurprising given his unwavering support for Glentoran. FTB 🟢⚫🔴
