Man, words almost fail me.
This is a player who carried Arsenal through some of our darkest periods. When we were getting mocked, when the team lacked direction, when hope felt distant; he was there.
Showing up.
Delivering.
Growing in front of us.
He didn’t jump ship.
He didn’t hide.
He became the face of our rebuild.
And now that Arsenal has risen again; competing, feared, respected; somehow, the same fans he gave everything to are starting to question him?
Yes, this season hasn’t fully gone his way. Form dips happen.
Football isn’t linear But reducing Saka to a player that should now be benched, or placed behind Madueke in the pecking order… that’s not just reactionary, it’s disrespectful.
This is Bukayo Saka.
One of the pillars of this new Arsenal.
A player who has earned patience, not pressure.
Support him through the tough moments the same way you celebrated him in the great ones.
Because players like Saka don’t just represent talent, they represent loyalty, identity, and the soul of this team.

I was listening to a Neville/Walker interview and one segment showed how narrative can be far away from reality.
Because KDB is fantastic and played for a very good team under Pep, Gary Neville just assumed that KDB was great receiving on the half turn and turning to play passes. Because that’s how top midfielders in the past played.
Walker completely shut him down. Walker said something interesting that hardly anyone talks about in public media. Walker said that Pep hates players receiving on the half turn in the meddle of the pitch. Only player who was allowed to do this under Pep was Silva. Not even KDB was allowed. Walker challenged Gary to find more than 20 clips in a season where KDB would be receiving on the half turn and turning with the ball.
This is Gary Neville, who is employed by big media outlets and commentates and talks about football professionally. Just shows how narratives and perceptions dominate football discussion. Not many are willing to do think independently and do their research.

Too many are too polite to say this. But mass ritual prayer in public places is an act of domination. The adhan - which declares there is no god but allah and Muhammad is his messenger - is, when called in a public place, a declaration of domination. Perform these rituals in mosques if you wish. But they are not welcome in our public places and shared institutions. And given their explicit repudiation of Christianity they certainly do not belong in our churches and cathedrals. I am not suggesting everybody at Trafalgar Square last night is an Islamist. But the domination of public places is straight from the Islamist playbook. Trafalgar Square belongs to all of us. It is a national memorial to our independence and our salvation. Last night was not like a televised football match or a St Patrick’s Day celebration. It was an act of domination and therefore division. It shouldn’t happen again.
