Three men have been jailed for three years each after stealing underground cables worth £50,000, causing phone and broadband outages for thousands of people in Birmingham. Marian Agarlita, 37, from the Isle of Wight, and Sorin Condrache, 45, and Aldafin Poenaru, 49, both of Smethwick, admitted theft at Birmingham Crown Court. They were arrested at the scene in the city centre after alarms were triggered. The theft affected around 5,000 customers and caused significant repair costs. One man initially refused to leave the underground chamber. West Midlands Police described the group as skilled and organised.

Why is a brand new showroom £60,000 Ford Capri available on the taxpayer funded motability scheme? Taking the piss out of hard working taxpayers looks like this 🤡

@Artemisfornow @Elizabe13014545 The manufacturer probably have a load of built vehicles to get rid of...being as not many people want to buy them, the easiest way to get them gone is put them on the Motability scheme with lowish advance payments.

@nigelridings @Jenny_1884 My son’s a GP partner has offered this service, Saturdays and Bank Holidays. Two partners in 8am to 4pm on a Saturday, saw 2 patients each. Patients seen on Monday didn’t want to waste part of their weekend at the GP. People say they want this but when offered they don’t really

Who agrees that GPs should be forced to do face to face appointments rather than by phone? It never used to be like this so why are we having to put up with this rubbish system. We pay into the service so we should get proper service. These GPs are not doing their jobs properly. No wonder A&E are busy because you can’t get a GP appointment. Everything in this country is broken

Who agrees Drs Surgeries should be open 7 days a week? Are people not supposed to get ill over Easter as most surgeries were closed for 4 days.
