I love reading r/Germany on reddit cause it's just full of "all the job ads want C2 level German for back office coding work" which is an admittedly insane requirement for those positions and pretty obviously just there to keep most (EU and otherwise) foreigners out

@cornu__copia Science will not work. They are constantly migrating between different institutions, having native language only will just gateway it and will redirect to English speaking universities (which is a language of science )

I just think it's somewhat perverse that in Europe there is a massive push to force university degrees to become English language degrees but at the same time the white collar job market is becoming super hostile to even EU migrants. I think it should be the opposite...

The European job market is going through an interesting shift. The service jobs are increasingly becoming English-language jobs for recently arrived migrants while the white collar job market has become very hostile to non-native language speakers and expats.

@LRH_Superfan That is not an insane requirement. C1/C2 are the only language levels where communication with collegues and customers is possible.
From my own experience I can tell that there is nothing more nerve-wrecking than foreign collegues who only know broken German.

Welp, here goes EU's "we don't need AI" story. With only Mistral barelly keeping up behind Chinise models it's gonna be painfull if case of any major disrubtion (maybe tariffs for AI ...)

@fdk258 та ясно, просто цікаво як технологія виглядає саме для такого роду продуктів
і знову ж - у всього UHT (соки, молоко, сири по типу бринзи і фети) теж своєрідне пакування, а тут абсолютно звичайне

Today is a big day! We're launching a ~ new ~ version of Claude Code in the desktop app. It's been redesigned from the ground up for parallel work and is a lot faster. It's been my main way to use Claude Code for the last few weeks.

Потрібно створити кастомний інтерфейс для роботи з великими масивам даних з російської БД. База даних є, але зручного софту для обробки даних немає.

Фахівці виявили, що після прихованого оновлення модель Claude почала масово саботувати завдання та ігнорувати інструкції.
