Imo, introspection isn’t overrated but unstructured introspection is. It’s useful until you can separate signal from noise. Most people don’t struggle because they think too much, but because they don’t know what thinking is useful. That’s where retrospection helps - looking back at what actually worked vs what just felt right. Over time, you figure out how to calibrate your instincts. The edge is in building the taste to know when to stop thinking and start doing.
