@AwestruckVox I still think KH 1 is a good place to start because it gives you that feel of what the series is all about which is basically a Disney/Final Fantasy crossover epic JRPG combo endused action-adventure game where you get to know the characters and why are they so important.

I honestly think KH2 is a great starting point because it’s designed to leave no one behind by leaving EVERYONE behind and putting us in Roxas’ shoes.
No matter what, you’ll be just as confused as this random teenager who suddenly gets thrown in the lore. It’s fucking awesome

KH fans might kill me but I think the best starting point depends on your interest level. If you’re already committed to experiencing KH, go release order. If you’re just getting your feet wet & not sure, try whatever game looks interesting to you & see! It’s not that serious

This aspect of KH2’s prologue deserves glaze. If you skipped CoM, you’ll be wondering where Sora is. If you played CoM you’re still lost. And if you’re a newcomer, you and Roxas are both like “wtf” as he summons a keyblade and dreams Sora’s memories, which doubles as a recap.
