Pues ojalá hagan una versión a duo, porque la canción le queda genial y su voz empasta muy bonito con la de Aidan. Y creo que se le está tratando muy injustamente a Essyla además, su actuación en La Voz no estuvo tan mal, cuando a uno le toca ser el foco de críticas…

@ThatYuta rather than a conscious interest, I think it’s just the way we’re wired to learn foreign languages.
for me, the most humbling part of learning Japanese was finally accepting that I shouldn’t try to replicate the learning methods/skills that helped me learn other languages.

@nikitology I wonder if Europeans are more interested in organizing their grammar consciously and creating some relatively clear-cut rules, while Japanese people are not that interested in that.

most European languages follow a vertical, grammar-heavy logic, like a set of Lego’s: you build upwards with a few pieces.
Japanese works like a 10000-piece puzzle you assemble bit after bit to slowly get a glimpse of parts of the whole picture.

みんなの日本語 treats Japanese like a logical puzzle. But a language like Japanese, which has evolved organically, is not a logical puzzle. It’s far more complex, ambiguous, and flexible. This means Minna no Nihongo’s language model is fundamentally incompatible with the actual language. Because of this, Minna no Nihongo modifies the language itself to conform to their logical puzzle model. This inevitably makes みんなの日本語 sound weird. It doesn’t follow the actual Japanese logic. It just follows Minna no Nihongo logic. In other words, it doesn’t use the same “language engine” as native Japanese speakers to produce their sentences. They have their own language engine.
