best performing ads for saas right now are just people yapping about the outcomes your target customer wants first the avatar needs to look like them physically then you talk to the outcomes they want state the pain they feel right now for getting those outcomes make a promise that the thing you're selling will get them to X outcome without Y pain and then remix the winning scripts over and over again or bring in new avatars with the same winning scripts this same template is working for everything right now

Chris Brown of Pixel Law shares his screen as he reviews a 56-page Asset Purchase Agreement using Spellbook. See how Spellbook can help you: → Flag legal issues within a contract → Surface unknown risks → Draft clauses like Indemnification and Reps & Warranties Chris also shares how he uses Spellbook for a "second opinion,” and why he believes AI will change the practice of law. Time stamps: - What contract review looked like before AI - The document being reviewed - High-level risk overview - Diving into indemnification - Non-compete analysis and Florida law - Breaking down the purchase price - Reps and warranties review - Running the same prompt twice - Closing deliveries and what's missing - Catching missing terms across the document - Compare to Market feature - What stood out most from the process - When to trust AI vs. your own judgment - How to get started with AI tools

Today, we’re introducing Spicy Mode in Spellbook. It points out contract issues with zero diplomatic filter: roasting lopsided terms, complaining about vague drafting, and giving commentary you should never send to opposing counsel. Available for one day only (yes, really).

Nobody fell off harder than the hammerhead shark. Was a top shark for me as a kid and now completely obsolete in media and conversation.

AI is causing software companies to look more and more like quantitative hedge funds. Like with trading, there is no speed limit on software development. What is happening now is similar to what happened when stock trading went from open outcry pits, to electronic trading:

Claude Cowork hooked up to Ahrefs is kind of ridiculous. I gave it my sitemap and it did hours of genuinely valuable keyword research, organized it in a spreadsheet, then dropped the file on my desktop.

Finally watched Buffalo ’66. Very Cassavetes. But even more Lynch. Almost a direct ode to Eraserhead, in my opinion (i.e., the family dinner scene, the tap dancing, the industrial surrealism). Also made me wonder why there aren’t more films exploring what happens in those forgotten neighbourhoods you pass through in Buffalo in November.

Looking for a lawyer-marketer to be a gatekeeper for accuracy across all of @SpellbookLegal's comms/copywriting. Law is deeply nuanced, and as we scale the amount of content we push out, we need to expand our review capacity. Accuracy and nuance is always our top priority. Shoot me a message if interested or if you know someone who would be good at this!

Excited to share that @Dropbox has chosen Spellbook as its AI contract review platform. Their legal team will use Spellbook to review and negotiate contracts faster and with greater consistency, so they can keep the company moving at lightning speed, with confidence. And yes, we have a Dropbox integration.

I'm a little biased, but The Redline is genuinely becoming my favourite newsletter to read. Great editorial work by @nikopajko. Never feels spammy. In this edition: @robin_legalai's rescue deal @goclio's $500m round @Replit hiring a Head of Legal 50+ prompts for contract law Check it out at spellbook.legal/newsletter

Spellbook has raised a $50m Series B led by @rabois at @khoslaventures. Since 2022 we've grown rapidly to 4,000 law firm and in-house legal customers including Nestlé, eBay and Kennedys. We aim to be the best way to draft and review agreements with AI—Cursor for contracts 🧵

SAAS companies don't need to make "best x tools" roundups. They can make a landing page highlighting how their tool is relevant for the use case and don't need to cover any other software. Highest overall page authority wins on these types of SERP.
