@lfcliammm Rio is a hundred times better. Drives at defenders, shows some tricks to beat a man, constantly aggressive in his play. Wirtz is the complete opposite on all fronts.

What the actual fuck is he supposed to create if nobody is on his wavelength? Nobody making runs. Is anybody bar szobo actually offering anything atm?

@nikpostinger As the season has progressed he feels like he's lost all his confidence, had a purple patch from December to Jan and then post injury just hasn't shown any eagerness to take the game on. Definitely needs to do way more but the talent is there.

Wirtz offers absolutely nothing.... NOTHING. Every single time he gets the ball he passes it a few yards to the nearest player and devolves all responsibility.

@nikpostinger I can’t stress it enough. A big money player should play like one. No one should be holding your hands to do anything like you came from the academy.Can’t shoot. Can dribble but he wouldn’t.Can’t influence play. It’s like the ball is too hot for him to handle hence he passes away

The criticism is fair. Wirtz has had a very average season by his own standards and at £100M you cannot hide behind the system as an excuse forever. Yes, the setup hasn't been ideal, but elite players force their way into games regardless.
