3D makes UI more intuitive and engaging!
I recently had the opportunity to share how our team leverages 3D in mobile development (using React Native and @expo) to build the @Starlink app.
We’re always looking for excellent engineers (in the US) from a variety of backgrounds to join the Starlink user experience team.
I need help, I've been putting off organizing the weekly challenge because the chores of judging the results was too high. If somebody wants to write a script to do it that'd be amazing. Need to extract and recompress videos from github issues, post to twitter and threads. Thanks
My entry to the @js13kGames of 2024 was quite fun to develop. Its a minisubmarine sim with a very cool atmosphere (sounds, visuals) in just 13KBs of #javascript .
You can play it here: js13kgames.com/2024/games/dee…
Lots of things to improve but Im quite happy with the results.
The game of Minecraft is so fascinating because the concept is very simple and yet the things you can create with it have a huge amount of depth. For this challenge you can play around with building your own version.
Okay, listen. If you're going to fetch in useEffect(...), you should at least make sure that you're handling:
- Loading states
- Error handling (rejections & HTTP error codes)
- Race conditions & cancellation
This isn't over-engineering. It's the minimum code to prevent bugs.
Content creation is all the rage those days but being in front of the computer recording yourself is still pretty scary, is there anything that technology can help with? You have one week to come up with something interesting :)
The winner for $100 is @nicogsworld! The pitch is that going on vacation is more about motivation than planning. This visualization of how much of your life has passed is very impactful! Take That Trip! github.com/Algorithm-Aren…
