*also* please me to think he’s more of a voluntary loner. They don’t hate him but they each understand his tendency to self isolate to their own extents, so they don’t fight to keep him involved but make it a point to accept him fully when he actually is.

I still adopt the dynamics in my head as canon (and Linc233 if you’re seeing this that chart you uploaded is a LIFESAVER) i.e the pragmatic respect for Bale, the subtle tension with Minotaur and the quiet tolerance for Rodion, but the fact they’re all linked in some way -

The fact that the entire of Spetsnaz are interconnected in some way (Bale and Minotaur are brothers, Rodion idolizes Bale and therefore lets him take him under his wing) but Nikto is never mentioned in any regard to them leads me to think that he’s mainly detached from his squad.
